It’s been a long couple of weeks. Inspired by the recent wave of blog redesigns, I decided to give it a go and see how the inclusion of visual stimuli works out. The Wikipedia article on the Scarabaeus sacer, more commonly known as the dung beetle is really quite interesting – including navigation by polarized lunar light, the ability to roll 10-1,141 times their body weight, their economic value of over $380 million to American cattle farmers, and their role (“roll” – ha!) in improving agriculture and hygiene in the developing world.
That being said, I got through some of the less pleasant parts of my “to-do list” and actually have a little bit of a lull. I should have some time to tackle some smaller projects that I’ve had building up for a while now. Though I think this layout is going to need a couple more drafts.
